I understand that words must lead to action, which is why I will set clear benchmarks for our progress and regularly report back to the community. Together, we can break the cycle of despair and work towards a brighter future for Deep East Oakland.

We’re grateful for your donations!

Economic Revitalization

Promote local businesses by creating incentives for investment in district 7 and improve infrastructure. Collaborating with local stakeholders, we can develop tailored strategies to attract customers and foster a vibrant retail environment. This includes leveraging partnerships with regional bodies to ensure that our community receives the necessary support.

Housing

Must have affordable housing. People need to have stability and security to be productive members of society. Collaborate with developers to create affordable housing units. Use incentives for properties that include affordable housing options. We also need clear paths to homeownership to create stable neighborhoods that people have roots in, fostering community pride and ownership.

Crime/Safety

To effectively address crimes and theft and poverty-related crimes in Oakland's District 7, a comprehensive strategy that combines prevention, intervention, enforcement, and community engagement is essential. Create programs that provide mentorship, recreational activities, educational and vocational support to prevent engagment in criminal behavior.

Illegal dumping

To effectively address and end illegal dumping of trash, waste, and toxic materials in Oakland's District 7, a comprehensive and multi-faceted approach is necessary. Identify areas most affected by illegal dumping. Enforcement and Monitoring, create a system for residents to report illegal dumping anonymously, (that works) providing incentives for reporting to encourage community involvement.
